Not one of the super gatherings, but a roost of approx fifty in the ivy on the back of the house. I have the privilege of watching this event every day in the late afternoon, but so does the local sparrowhawk. This led to one of those occasions where you have to resist the urge to intervene and let nature take its cause, luckily for the starling it was saved by the appearance on the scene of a local cat.
