The fog had lifted on an autumn morning in Shrewsbury and the sun was shining so we decided to go for a walk on Lyth Hill to see if we could see any kestrels. We found the kestrel but our attention soon turned to the fascinating sight of banks of fog drifting through the south Shropshire hills. A trip down to Church Stretton and the Long Mynd produced some fabulous views of the fog and more sightings of the kestrel.
